Pre-Competitive Academy

The Pre-Competitive Academy serves as a bridge between recreational and competitive soccer. This program prepares players for the demands of competitive soccer while giving families a realistic preview of what the competitive pathway involves — without requiring a full-year commitment. It’s an ideal next step for players advancing their abilities, and for parents exploring whether competitive soccer is right for their family.

Player Development Focus

Throughout the program, players will:

• Build strong technical skills and learn to apply them in real-game situations
• Develop tactical understanding of positions within the 7v7 format, learning role responsibilities
• Gain team play experience — improving communication, awareness, and decision-making
• Learn to combine technical and tactical skills to play intelligent, creative soccer

Program Details

• 2-hour Sunday sessions (1 hour team training, 1 hour game day)
• Tournament — 3 games over the weekend plus a potential final — November 7–8 in Milpitas, as a team
• Adidas uniform included (2 jerseys, 1 shorts, 1 socks)
• Comprehensive development curriculum tailored to maximize player growth

How to Join

Players are identified within the Fall 2026 Recreational Program and invited by professional coaches and/or Jordan Mills, Pre-Competitive Lead. All players must be registered in the 2026 Fall Rec Program to participate. Periodic tryouts occur during the season, with player spots offered following assessment.
